Wheelmaking

The 'wheel' is considered a simple machines used to roll, spin, steer, and balance.
Crafting a wheel can take great skill. There is need to build the outer wheel edge to withstand forces, the middle wheel to hold the needed balance of its components, and the axle to direct the amplification.

So too can creative healing be challenging work. Each person has a unique build and sense of wellness in their lives, and we all need to continually maintain ourselves to find balance and develop resilience for what life offers up.
  • Roll: finding ourselves catching momentum
  • Spin: when control is lost
  • Steer: our attempts to reclaim our sense of power to direct
  • Balance: neutralizing the sense of chaos and finding calm
Where ever you find yourselves in the healing process, Wheelmaker Creative hopes to facilitate creative practices to help you on your balancing journey.

Art + Therapy

With years of experience of creating art and teaching in schools, the people behind Wheelmaker Creative hope to be placemakers for people looking for communal connections through creative art processes. The arts help people weave their hopes, ambitions and dreams into a creative awakening.

For people new to art making in therapy, the focus of the creative process is aligned in peoples ability to:
  • explore,
  • make mistakes,
  • find a work flow,
  • receive inspiration,
  • develop relationships,
  • and so much more.

We, at Wheelmaker Creative, believe that every persons intentions and contributions to their healing journey guide the creative process in our sessions.
